How it all started...

In 1956, Robina Farms (RF) started supplying world-class chicken breeds, thereby pioneering commercial farming in the Philippines. Shortly thereafter, RF expanded to supply premium quality hog carcasses to wet markets and supermarkets. In the absence of a Robina Farms retail brand, a lot of shoppers are unaware that the pork and chicken products they purchase in majority of supermarkets and wet markets are actually grown and supplied by Robina Farms.

Aiming to synergize Robinsons Retail Group with Robina AgriPartners, the visionary leadership of chairman emeritus John Gokongwei Jr., Vincent Henry Go (Group General Manager – Robina AgriPartners), Dr. Dante Palabrica (General Manager – Robina Farms Hogs), and Engr. William Lim (General Manager – Robina Farms Poultry) gave birth to Robina Farms Premium Farm Products.

Last December 5, 2008, Robina Farms Premium Farm Products was launched with much fanfare in Robinsons Supermarket Galleria, Ermita and Metroeast branches. Banners and streamers adorned the selling area, cooking demonstrations gave shoppers a first-hand experience to taste the premium meats with food samplings. It was capped off with Robina Farms Christmas Tree of Treats were lucky shoppers can win major prizes including microwave ovens, turbo broilers, induction cookers and electric grilles.

Competing against market leaders Magnolia and Monterey would be no easy feat but Robina Agri Partners is up to the challenge to be the preferred supplier of premium quality poultry and meat products in supermarkets nationwide.
