The Correct Use of Injectable Products - Thursday 07 May, 2009
Store
injectable vaccines and drugs properly at the recommended temperatures
away from heat and direct light. Do not use expired products. Read and
follow instructions contained in the product insert. Use disposable
needles and syringes to prepare the products. Do not mix different
products in the same syringe unless in approved combination form. Use
live vaccines immediately within 2 hours after preparation. Vaccinate
only healthy animals. Observe cleanliness and hygiene when handling and
administering vaccines.
