The Robina Grandeur has the ideal muscle conformation in the ham, loin and shoulder. Back fat thickness is 8.8mm at 91.2 Kg. live weight. Average daily gain is 850 grams and feed conversion efficiency is 2.75.
The grandeur is very masculine in both appearance and behavior. They are aggressive with a strong constitution but with controlled temperament. They have well developed testicles of about the same size. The grandeur boar has strong pasterns particularly on the hind legs, a strong back and a long body. These traits are highly heritable and influence the ability of the boar to mount.
